- When Joe “Lacabra” Wintergreen-Arthur was eight years old, he managed to build a 100% accurate 3D representation of the interior of the CIA building at Langley - even the top-secret parts where photography is prohibited - in Worldcraft. He was investigated for years and unmarked cars still follow him everywhere he goes. Seventeen of his last twenty-five girlfriends turned out to be agents. More recently, he's made a Half-Life 2 mod, a Left 4 Dead campaign, flown Gabe Newell to Australia, and is workin' on a couple of games in UDK that you should totally check out.
In the name of all that's holy, guilt trip them into donating the cost of those plane tickets to charity- assuming that actually make it to Oz. Those two are wealthy enough to go anywhere on their own dime; isn't the thought of seeking contributions to fly already-rich men halfway around the world to look at a game just a _little bit_ repulsive?.
ReplyDeleteIt would be VERY awesome if you somehow swung things so that Gabe and Erik could be in the country at the right time so they could make a special appearance at a certain gaming exhibition in melbourne in november :P Namely the Egames Expo.
